November brings some serious competition among Keira Knightley back into the world of espionage in Black Doves, revisits the life of Empress Sisi, and presents a documentary about Richard Avedon, the photographer who helped turn celebrities into icons. On Apple TV, Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan become involved in a dangerous game of cat and mouse, while Paramount+ prepares to say goodbye to Yellowjackets, which faces the difficult task of resolving the mysteries accumulated over four seasons.

Brazil also has an important place in this lineup, with the return of City of God: The Fight Rages On and Cauã Reymond joining the second season of All’s Fair.

It is an ambitious lineup, but also a test for shows that still need to prove they have relevant stories left to tell. After all, bringing popular characters back is relatively easy. The difficult part is justifying why we should continue following their lives. Between long-awaited returns, promising premieres, and definitive farewells, November offers a good opportunity to discover which series still deserve our time — and which may have already told us everything they had to say.

Here are the main releases announced by the streaming platforms.

    Prime Video

    The Greatest — November 4

The life of Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest names in boxing history, receives its first authorized scripted television adaptation. Produced with the involvement of Lonnie Ali, the late champion’s wife, The Greatest promises to explore much more than his victories and defeats in the ring.

The series follows the journey of a man who became a symbol of resistance, activism, and cultural transformation, examining his humanitarian work and the impact he had beyond the world of sports.

The Rings of Power — Season 3, November 11

War has come to Middle-earth. Five years after the fall of Eregion, Sauron’s armies are advancing across the continent, conquering territories and leaving only a handful of strongholds capable of resisting the Dark Lord.

The Dwarves remain sheltered deep within Khazad-dûm, while Lindon and Rivendell are protected by the Three Elven Rings. But Sauron has already built his tower of Barad-dûr in Mordor and is determined to forge his ultimate weapon: the One Ring.

The third season forces Elves, Men, Dwarves, and Wizards to form an alliance to prevent Sauron from achieving absolute domination over Middle-earth. The series remains under the leadership of showrunners J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, with Charlotte Brändström also serving as director and executive producer.

    Blade Runner 2099 — November 25

The television expansion of the universe created by Ridley Scott arrives with a story set 50 years after the events of Blade Runner 2049.

Los Angeles has been rebuilt, but not exactly by humanity. Cora, a fugitive desperately trying to escape her past, assumes one final identity: that of a Blade Runner.

Her mission places her alongside Olwen, a Replicant who is only days away from dying. Together, they must track down a fugitive hiding information powerful enough to destroy the city’s fragile balance.

    Apple TV

    Stick — Season 2, November 4

Owen Wilson returns as Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer whose career was prematurely derailed two decades earlier.

Following a failed marriage and an unpromising professional life, Pryce places his hopes in Santi (Peter Dager), a talented 17-year-old golfer with a promising future but plenty of personal problems.

Created by Jason Keller, the sports comedy continues to explore the relationship between the veteran and his young protégé, as well as the family bonds that develop between seemingly incompatible people.

    12 12 12 — November 13

Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan star in a heist thriller structured around three different timelines.

Each episode follows three stages of a major crime: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of execution, and the 12 days following the robbery.

Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent, while Dornan portrays an American criminal. The two become involved in a dangerous game of cat and mouse across Europe, centered on an operation to break into a bank vault buried deep beneath the streets of Zurich.

Way of the Warrior Kid — November 15

Chris Pratt plays Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL who, while recovering from an injury, spends the summer with his sister Sarah (Linda Cardellini) and nephew Marc (Jude Hill).

Marc is being bullied at school and feels that he is always falling behind his classmates, whether academically, athletically, or socially. Determined to help him, Jake develops a training program inspired by his military experience, called Operation Warrior Kid.

But instead of teaching his nephew how to fight, he sets out to show him the true meaning of courage. Along the way, Jake must also confront his own personal struggles.

Directed by McG, the film adapts the bestselling novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink.

    Disney+

    All’s Fair — Season 2, November 4

The lawyers of Grant, Ronson & Greene return for another season of scandals, secrets, and power struggles.

New alliances begin to emerge, friendships are put to the test, and a shocking revelation threatens the very survival of the firm.

Created by Ryan Murphy, the series once again brings together Kim

    When a Witness Recants — November 17

In 1983, a 14-year-old boy was murdered in a hallway at Harlem Park Junior High School in Baltimore, Maryland.

Three teenagers were quickly arrested, convicted of the crime, and sentenced to life in prison. The problem was that all three were innocent.

The documentary investigates the consequences of this miscarriage of justice for the accused, their families, and the community. It also features accounts from witnesses who, decades later, recanted their testimony and said they had been pressured as teenagers into falsely testifying against the three defendants.

A story about injustice, witness manipulation, and the irreparable damage caused by wrongful convictions.

    Netflix

    Black Doves — November 5

Keira Knightley returns as Helen, a woman who continues to pass British government secrets to a clandestine organization known as the Black Doves.

Following the events of the previous Christmas, her situation becomes even more dangerous. Her husband, Wallace (Andrew Buchan), is preparing to become prime minister, raising the stakes of her double life.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Reed (Sarah Lancashire), her mysterious handler, becomes the target of a conspiracy designed to weaken her position within the organization.

Helen reunites with Sam (Ben Whishaw), her best friend and former contract killer, now reduced to minor assignments and lonely nights in London bars.

Together, they become involved in an investigation that forces them to confront old enemies, betrayals, and decisions from their past. All of this comes with the combination of espionage, violence, and distinctly British humor that defined the first season.

    Avedon — November 11

Photographer Richard Avedon, one of the most influential figures in twentieth-century photography, is the subject of a new documentary.

Responsible for portraits of political leaders, celebrities, and some of the world’s most famous models, Avedon did more than document cultural transformations: he helped define the visual language of fashion and contemporary culture.

The production features previously unseen images, personal archival material, behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews with people who knew and worked with the artist.

The documentary explores how Avedon transformed photography into a language capable of revealing personalities, creating icons, and influencing the way we see the world.

    The Empress — November 12

The story of Elisabeth of Austria returns at an especially difficult moment for the imperial family.

Following the devastating Sardinian War, Emperor Franz (Philip Froissant) returns traumatized, tormented by guilt over the deaths of thousands of soldiers. Elisabeth (Devrim Lingnau IslamoÄŸlu) tries to support him while continuing to advocate for changes she believes the empire desperately needs.

But her husband’s infidelity, resistance at court, and her own health problems lead the empress to leave Vienna and seek recovery on a distant island.

During her journey, she meets Count Andrássy (Dejan Bućin), a Hungarian revolutionary leader, with whom she develops an intellectual connection and an unexpected attraction.

Meanwhile, Maximilian (Johannes Nussbaum), Franz’s brother, travels with his wife Marie (Josephine Thiesen) to assume the imperial throne of Mexico.

Faced with so many changes, Elisabeth must decide whether to follow her feelings or fulfill what she believes to be her duty as empress.

    Paramount+

Yellowjackets — Fourth and Final Season, November 20

The survival drama and psychological thriller reaches its final season, promising to conclude the story of the teenage girls who survived a plane crash and carried their secrets for decades.

Since its debut, Yellowjackets has built its identity around alternating between the traumatic events experienced by the girls in the wilderness and the consequences those experiences have had on their adult lives.

Now, the production is preparing to answer the mysteries that have fueled its storyline and bring the survivors’ journeys to a close.
